Christmas Carols and Coffee
We were very proud of our children today who put on another amazing performance of the Guildhall concert to grand parents and other invited guests this morning. We called the event 'Christmas Carols and Coffee' and it was very nice to see family and friends of our pupils, past and present, and even a few ex-members of staff return to the school to hear our choir and recorders perform.
Christmas Hamper Raffle Tickets For Sale!
These are just some of the amazing hampers the PTA have put together from all the donations collected over the last few days. It's now your chance to win one of these lovely hampers by buying a raffle ticket! Tickets are £1 and have already gone home with children. More are available from the school office. Good luck and thanks for your support!

Welcome to the Super Fruitilicious Cafe!
This afternoon, Year 2 opened the "Super Frutilicious Cafe" to friends and family, serving up fruit dishes that they had designed and made for them. The children chose to either make smoothies, fruit kebabs or a fruit salad and planned and designed how to serve them. After tasting the delicious creations made by Year 2, visitors to the cafe were then able to take a look at our amazing home learning projects, and some beautiful fruit paintings and poetry created in our "Fruit for Fun" topic. A massive thank you must go to Mrs Stubley, Miss Bradley and Mrs Carter for all their hard work making the cafe possible. Also, thank you to all the friends and family who visited the cafe. Well done Year 2!!
Easyfundraising - Support the PTA while shopping online
Do you shop online? Did you know that every time you buy something you could be raising money for the Bitterne Manor PTA?
It's like nectar but instead of earning points, each purchase generates a donation. So instead of going directly to a retailer's website, go to easyfundraising.org.uk first and choose the retailer you want to shop with - then everything you spend with that retailer earns a free donation for the PTA. It is completely free to use and your shopping will not cost you a penny more. There is even a toolbar, which once downloaded, will prompt you to donate through easyfundraising rather than having to remember each time.
There are over 2,700 retailers registered with the site, including Amazon, John Lewis, Marks and Spencer, eBay, Tesco and Sainsburys who will donate a percentage of what you spend to say thank you for shopping with them. Retailers will donate anything from 0.5% to 5% of the cost of your shopping - and these donations will soon mount up.
So whatever you need to buy, from your weekly grocery shop, fashion must-haves, business travel, office supplies or mobile phone, buy it via easyfundraising and raise money for the PTA at no extra cost to you!
This really is a simple and effective way to raise much needed funds for the school and there's no reason to keep it to ourselves - please share our link with your friends, family or colleagues - almost anyone who is shopping online could be supporting us.
http://www.easyfundraising.
Follow this link to see how much we have raised so far then imagine how much more we could be raising with your help.
Here's how it works:
1. Sign up - go to http://www.easyfundraising.
2. Shop - from the easyfundraising website, search for the retailer you'd like to shop with and click through to the retailer to make your purchase. This tells the retailer you came from easyfundraising. The price is exactly the same as if you'd visited the retailer directly.
3. Get a donation - after you've made your purchase, the retailer will give you a cash reward that easyfundraising turn into a donation for Bitterne Manor PTA.
4. Tell your friends
No cost, no catch!

Church Service
We held our annual Christmas Service yesterday at the Church of the Ascension in Bitterne. The service was led by the Rev Andy Smith with contributions from pre school, our school choir, recorder club and readings from our pupils. As part of the service, we also decorated the tree with special messages and many families stayed afterwards for a drink and a mince pie. Thank you to all those who contributed and attended.
