Year 3 trip to Laverstoke farm

WOW! What a hot one! Despite the heat, we have had a wonderful time at the farm.  We have held one day old chicks, fed buffalo calves, stroked lambs and even planted some seeds.  The children have had a wonderful day  what a way to end a year!

Zebra Location Revealed...!

Here's one of our intrepid explorers managing to find and locate our own 'Head, Hearts & Hands' Zebra in the central library, Southampton. Can you find them all...?

Kingfishers and Puffins visit Blue Reef Aquarium!

Kingfishers and Puffins had a fantastic time exploring the Aquarium! We looked at all of the interesting sea creatures and we enjoyed a workshop where we even had the chance to touch some, including a spider crab! We learnt lots of new facts! Well done to all of Year R for brilliant learning and behaviour on our trip :)

The Jewell Shield

We said goodbye today to the 'Jewell Shield' - the Southampton Schools' football trophy which we very proudly won last year. It's leaving a big hole in our trophy cabinet but we are hopeful that one day we might win it again...!

Year 3 craze!

You may have noticed a new craze sweeping year 3 at the moment.  Don't worry,  I haven't given up just yet!  The children have been making Raksha Bandhan bracelets and are very good at them!

If you ask them nicely, they may make you one!

Book look in year 3!

Thank you so much to all the parents that have been in to see the children's fantastic work. It was lovely to see so many happy parents with their wonderful children .

Butterflies for Beth...

On Tuesday afternoon, our pupils created a beautiful butterfly garden in our school grounds. Their art surrounds a newly planted tree, which will grow there now in loving memory of Beth.

Summer Reading Challenge 2016

This year's Summer Reading challenge is based around the BFG by Roald Dahl. The summer challenges have been very successful over the last few years in promoting reading and enjoyment of books. We would encourage all children to take part by looking at the leaflet we're sending home with children or heading to the website by following this link!

Year R sealife adventure

Today we in year R spent the day at the  Blue Reef Aquarium learning all about a range of sea animals that we have met during our topic. We got to touch some too, even Mrs Carter had a feel. It was a brilliant day and the coach ride home was exhausting for all of us.
