Bitterne Manor dazzle at Humble Plumb!

Yesterday was a very special day for some of the pupils at Bitterne Manor Primary School!  They had been invited by the manager of the Humble Plumb Pub to sing a selection of Christmas songs.  The staff have saved all year to provide a group of elderly, lonely and vulnerable adults with a Christmas dinner, gifts and a nice social afternoon spent with others -  something they may not be as fortunate to get as others around the Christmas period. They had gifts donated by Bursledon House NHS and the company Easy Networks called offering a large monetary donation to buy more gifts!

Our children did us proud and sang their hearts out!  Well done to them all :)  A special thank you to Samantha Daniel who organised this event and allowed our school to be part of something special!

GUILDHALL CHOIR SUPERSTARS!

What a GREAT night it was for the Guildhall Choir children last night!  They did brilliantly with both performances and wowed the audience.  We are very proud of you!  Special shout out to the wonderful chefs in the KS1 performance and of course our little Rudolph!  Well done to all the children and staff who helped make this happen, you are amazing :) Thank you to all the parents as your support with the rehearsals has been wonderful too.  We hope that you thoroughly enjoyed it and it helped get you into the Christmas spirit!

Guildhall Choir meeting

This year's Guildhall Christmas Choir have been busy rehearsing in preparation for next week's concert, joined by other school choirs across the city.

If any parents of choir members have queries about the evening performance, you are invited to a short briefing meeting at 3:30pm in Year 4 this Friday 30th November.

For those that have been involved before, there are no changes. Do hope you enjoy the performance!

Grandparents Show!

We were delighted to be joined by so many of our Grandparents and other local residents for the dress rehearsal of this year's Christmas Show. It was a chance for the children to shine in front of a captive audience and they made us extremely proud. Many of the visitors passed on their congratulations and thanks for inviting them to such an entertaining show.
Well done to Mrs Longley and her team for the mince pies and other refreshments that were provided during the break!

Many thanks to all of the staff who have been organising rehearsals and who looked after the children last night.

Ugandan Watoto Choir

Today we were all amazed by the fantastic Watoto Choir from Uganda. The choir is made up of Ugandan children who have been orphaned. They have performed previously at Buckingham Palace and The Whitehouse!
Bitterne Manor were honoured to enjoy their brilliant singing and dancing talents. Some of our children were excited to be picked to have a go at chanting and dancing.
What an experience for us all...
