It is with a great deal of sadness that I have to let you know that Mrs Harries will be leaving us at half term. Her last working day at Bitterne Manor will be the 24th May.
As many of you will be aware, Mrs Harries has been a huge support to many hundreds of pupils that have attended and are currently attending our school since she joined us in 1991! In her role as an emotional literacy support assistant (ELSA), she has been invaluable 'rock' to both pupils and parents experiencing a wide range of challenges both in and around school.
While I know she is looking forward to spending some time on her own passions now, she will miss us all and we can't let her go without saying a proper goodbye!
While we will organise something in school, we thought it would be nice to give parents and ex-pupils an opportunity to wish her the very best.
Please send a message either by email, leave a card or by popping into the office where there will be paper available for you to write a comment. We will add these to a book we will put together on behalf of the school.
Please spread the word but don't tell her just yet!

The Summer Fayre GUNGE Event!
This year's GUNGE event at the Summer Fayre was better than ever! The GUNGE Master did not disappoint and poor Mrs Hayward, Mr Gould and Mr Soffe really didn't have a choice. Well done to them all for being such STARS and taking those GHASTLY things so well, it truly looked VILE! Here are some of the photos that captured those magnificent moments... look away now if you're sensitive to revolting things!

Summer Fayre 2016
Currently in school, teachers are very busy with assessment moderation, writing pupil reports, work scrutiny, lesson observations and preparations for transition. Ofsted may well call at any minute! Surprisingly, however, foremost in their minds is who is going to get gunged at this year's Summer Fayre! Here are the candidates that have 'volunteered' and they are arranged in no particular order. Honest.

Staff Tribute...
Today was sad day for Bitterne Manor Primary as we said goodbye to Mrs Mellor and Miss Starling! Fortunately, there were tears of a different sort as the staff formed their own tribute band and performed in assembly in front of the pupils and Governors...! I'm sure you will all join us in wishing Mrs Mellor and Miss Starling the very best as they move on from Bitterne Manor.
