We are the CHAMPIONS!

Today was a very important day for some of our Year 6 children, it was the House Captains elections. Each house was asked to come together and vote for their new leaders.  The Champions nominees were, Daniel, Lucy and Ehrin.  They all made spectacular speeches that they read with passion trying to persuade the audience to pick them.  It was a close vote but the Champions House Captains for 2016-2017 are... Daniel and Ehrin! Your mob has spoken, lead them to victory but most of all unite as a team!

Our New Team Flags...

We are proud to finally unveil our new team flags which should be flying shortly - so look up and hope your team has earnt the most points for the week! Thanks to the teams of designers for designing them, our Learning Leaders for deciding on the designs and the PTA for funding them.

Our New Flag Designs...

 After much deliberation and redrafting of our ideas, we're pleased to unveil the latest draft versions of our designs for our new house flags designed by the children.

Flag Day!

As part of our 'Proud to be Bitterne' day today, we've been coming up with ideas for new House Team flags. Children worked in their teams this morning to come up with some brilliant designs which they can be proud of. Here are the Team Captains sharing some of the ideas we've had so far...

Solent School Games Roadshow

Yesterday years R to 6 spent an hour taking part in multi-skills activities in which children enjoyed competing to gain points for their houses. The points will be added together and the Solent mascots will present certificates and the winning house will receive a plaque.

New House Captains

Congratulations to this year's new House Captains! They have been chosen to represent their teams and be responsible for collecting and announcing the points each week. This year we have added to their responsibilities by putting them in charge of the Praise Board and 'Kind Kevin'.

Sports Day 2014

A few pictures of our Sports today held earlier today. We were really lucky with the weather and it was brilliant to see so many parents turn out to support the children. Winners will be announced in assembly later today. Well done everyone!

Best Attendance - Heroes Again!

Heroes again score the best team attendance for the last term. As a reward, they earn an extra break and a special 'wear their team colour' day - in this case, red. Well done to all Heroes!

Key Stage 2 reward time

Well done to those children in Key Stage 2 who have demonstrated excellent behaviour during Spring 1. They enjoyed a speedstacks competition and showed good team spirit throughout the activities!

Excellent Behaviour!

House Captains rewarded children with excellent behaviour in Key Stage 1 by organising a 'Speedstacks' competition this Friday. Key Stage 2 will have their reward time next Friday. Well done to all the children and their house captains!
