Celebration Assembly at Bitterne Manor
Sporting achievements and trophies won by Bitterne Manor children were presented and celebrated in Assembly today. The Young Sports Ambassadors also presented the winner of the YSA cap design competition her very own cap! A great big thank you to Solent Sport who had the caps made in the winning design. These will be worn by the YSAs during duties and sports events at school.

A talent with a very bright future at Bitterne Manor
Year 6 has a new found talent in their midst. The sport of snooker had better watch out as a year 6 boy is winning trophies and matches against children older and with more training. Obviously a natural talent has emerged.

.jpg)
Well done to the many pupils who received their 100% attendance awards today. All the pupils who managed this achievement were entered into a special prize draw which was won by Chiedza and Bethany. Both pupils received family tickets to Paultons theme park which were presented by the Mayor at a special event to celebrate 100% attendance. Sam and Odo the dogs (School Attendance Matters and Odd Days Off!) were also there!

Star Awards 2010
We are pleased to be able to recognise two of our pupils for their achievements at a city wide award ceremony held at St Mary's stadium. Here is a picture of Sam receiving a Star award for his outstanding contribution to Bitterne Manor Primary during his time with us. Danny was also awarded one in recognition of his bravery in contacting the emergency services when his parent had been injured. Both pupils received their award at the ceremony from the Mayor of Southampton.
