Year 1 Toy Story!

Year 1 have been working hard this week to design and make their own toy cars, they had lots of great ideas! We created missing posters this week for Woody and were very lucky that Buzz came into our classroom to help us with our search! We have also spent some time gardening. Have a look at us hard at work in the pictures. Please bring your car garages in this week ready for our Toy Museum on Friday. Parents are invited in on Friday 21st October at 9am to see our toy dance in the hall followed by a visit to our Toy Museum. We hope to see you all there!

Under 10 Football Team

Here is our under 10 football team taking part in a school's tournament on Monday. We were competing against 17 other schools and the boys gave a good account of themselves but were unable to progress to the next round. It was a great experience for all the players and should see them heading to their next tournament with increasing confidence! Well done!

Welcome to our new YR children

Last week we welcomed our third, and youngest, group of children to Reception class. They are settling in beautifully. The photo shows them ready to set off on their 'listening walk' around our school building and grounds.

Stranger Danger

From Drop Box

WPC Shona and PCSO Karen Jupe visited school today to talk to us all about stranger danger. This is to help us to keep ourselves safe.

Year 4 visit Fishbourne

Year 4 recently visited Fishbourne Roman Palace. We began by learning about who lived in the palace as it grew in size over the years. Then the class learnt new skills - how to spin wool, work out numbers on a wax tablet, make a mosaic, write in Latin, play Roman games and we even practiced kitchen skills. Some of the class dressed up too. We visited the museum and gardens and were wowed by amazing mosaics - we all had our favourites. After an eventful day, it was a quiet drive back to school. It was certainly a day to remember!
