Sports Day 2014

A few pictures of our Sports today held earlier today. We were really lucky with the weather and it was brilliant to see so many parents turn out to support the children. Winners will be announced in assembly later today. Well done everyone!

Hampshire Games experience

Twelve children from Bitterne Manor were selected to represent Southampton in gymnastics at the annual Hampshire games in Aldershot. There was an exciting opening ceremony with steal bands, then the children were coached to the gymnastics and trampolining venue to perform their floor and vault routines. Our children came 5th overall. Well done to all.

Visiting the Mayor's Parlour

Here are some pictures of the School Council's visit to the Mayor's Parlour in the Civic Centre, Southampton. We were very kindly hosted by the newly appointed Sheriff of Southampton, Linda Norris and one of her Town Sergeants, Alan. The visit is a fascinating look at Southampton's traditions and history and we always learn something new about the city each time we visit.

Year 1 broad beans

We all got very excited as we picked our first broad bean from the plants we have been growing. They taste delicious!

Year 1 Superhero day!

The Superheros looked fantastic today! We had great fun training outside for missions. They also wrote beautiful letters to Traction Man. We hope to hear back from him soon!
