Bench-tastic!
Thanks to Alresford Interiors (www.alresfordinteriors.co.uk) for creating this amazing Lego themed bench for our learning garden. The bench is dedicated 'In loving memory of our friend Lydia' and will be very much enjoyed by all the children in school. We would like to thank the generous support of our PTA in funding the purchase of the bench.
A Special Day
Our special celebration day in memory of Lydia ended with a dedication by the Rev Andy Smith in our learning garden. Parents and children got the chance to see our new Lego bench (orange was Lydia's favourite colour), the bring a brick school logo (Lydia loved Lego), the broomsticks (she loved 'Room on the Broom' by Julia Donaldson) and all the funky hats and loom bracelets the children had been wearing and making. There will always be a little space at Bitterne Manor that's hers...
Looming Marvellous!!!
The whole school went Loom-atic today and created mile of loom friendship bracelets as part of our special celebration day for Lydia!

Legotastic...!
Thanks for all your donations of Lego bricks. Here's what the team did with them - created our school motto in glorious Lego 3D! We even managed a Lego version of the school badge.
Sebastian's Action Trust
Today we are supporting the charity, Sebastian's Action Trust, as part of a special day in memory of Lydia. We welcomed Stuart from the charity to our school this morning to lead part of our assembly . Part of the money we raise today will go towards this good cause. For more information please head to www.sebastiansactiontrust.org.
The charity supports families of seriously-ill children from diagnosis, through treatment and beyond by listening and responding to their unmet needs. All families of seriously-ill children should be able to have quality time together to relax, recharge and rebuild, never having to face life alone. The charity has two aims:
- Providing holidays in our purpose-built holiday home
They have built a holiday home for children with life-threatening or life-limiting illnesses, giving them the opportunity for a respite break with family and loved ones, in a purpose-built facility. - Providing support
To offer practical support for children with life-threatening or life-limiting illnesses and their families. Understanding that every family’s situation is unique and looking to meet their individual needs by giving meaningful assistance at critical times
