I know you have been kept informed with news and pictures of the year 6 residential at Osmington Bay in Weymouth, but here are a few more pictures with the activities continuing until Friday, including the disco. The children were fantastic and we had a few comments from other teachers and PGL staff about what a great group they are. Their football skills were also noted as we had quite a few matches with others schools in there spare time. Well done to the BM children for proving what amazing children you are!

Year 3 and 4 experience Kathakali!
As part of their study of Hinduism, Year 3 and 4 were very lucky to take part in a Kathakali dance workshop. Kathakali is a traditional dance drama from the South Indian state of Kerala and is made up of elaborate make-up and costumes. The children also had the chance to learn about these costumes and they made their own mask in the style of Kathakali!

PGL update
Even though the sun wasn't shining yesterday, the children were having an amazing time. They were all so excited about their activities and told me that they were 'loving it!'
I was lucky enough to see the children climbing 'Jacob's ladder' and even take part in the archery with them.

It was certainly windy on the coast yesterday but the children all showed remarkable courage and resilience. (I'm not sure that I am as brave as them!)
All the children are working as a team and I was very proud to see them supporting each other during the activities.
Thank you for an amazing day year 6.

Year 1 get acting!
In literacy yesterday we were remembering the characters, events and settings in a story called ' The Sweetest Song'. We were acting this out with our partners.

Fantastic visit to PGL!
The sun was shining (yeah!) and the children are having an amazing time. They had a power cut yesterday, so some activities have been switched about and extra blankets were brought in to keep them warm! It has just added to the excitement of the PGL - an experience the children will never forget! Highlight of today's visit was seeing the children working together as a team to encourage one another to do the best they can (also Katie jumping on to her raft and falling off into the water; she was giggling the whole time!)

Yr 6 update!
I have received messages from Miss Blightman and Mrs O'Hara. They all 'survived' the first night! The children settled down well and were being extremely well behaved! Just had a lovely breakfast to get them ready for the cold day ahead!
Sorry I don't have any pictures but I will blog some tomorrow after my visit.

Year 6 have arrived!
I have heard from Mrs O'Hara and they have all arrived safely; after a few detours and one child being travel sick! They are all in their rooms now getting ready for their evening activities. I am popping down Wednesday so will blog then with some photos too! Hope the sun stays shining for them!
