Sainsbury's Active Kids is Back!

It's that time of year again when Sainsbury's Active Kids vouchers can be collected for schools. The more vouchers we receive, the more resources and equipment we'll be able to get. Over the years, parents have collected tens of thousands of vouchers which we've converted into all sorts of useful things for the children - play equipment, goals, cooking and even gardening tools. Please remember to ask for your vouchers at the till.

Husselbee's Hot Shots at it again!

Year 2 have been working hard again in their maths to investigate which is the most efficient method for a take away sum? They tried bead strings, hundred squares, jottings and number lines to solve each problem. We found out that the most efficient method was the hundred square! We are going to use them this week in our maths learning! Well done Year 2!

Maths Book Look and helpful hints!

Come along after school from 3.30- 4.30 today (Monday 2nd Feb) for Maths Book look and helpful hints. Make your way to the hall and music room and join in with the activities on offer. Have fun!

Year R have fun with Barnaby Bear!

Our topic this half-term involves finding out more about the world around us! We are doing this by 'visiting' different countries and finding out what it is like there!

We have had lots of fun through role-play, for example we set up a train station and we went on the train to London and last week we made passports, set up an air-port and flew to Ghana! We found out about elephants and lions and we acted out the story 'We're going on a lion hunt' - we found a lion at the end! We also looked at photos, watched clips and explored objects which led to lots of great discussions!

We are also going to 'travel' to Poland, Spain and also China where we are going to have a Chinese New Year party!
