Owls vote for learning leaders!

Get Cycle Savvy Event

Just a reminder that tomorrow is the Get Cycle Savvy/Air Quality Event from 2pm- 4pm.

• Bike Dr: bring your bike for a free check-up - just turn up between the times advertised with your bike (if you'd like to send your child in with their bike, that's fine, just take it to the Bike Doctor after school!)

• Try-a-bike (for children and adults!): balance bikes, cargo bikes, e-bikes, hybrids, mountain bikes, child seats, trailers...

• "Ditch the Stabilisers" with Bike It Jenny

Also, come and look at the Air Quality exhibit in the school entrance - we're the first school to have it in the City!

Owls: Computing and Design Technology

In Owls, we have been using Sketchup to design our own Lunar Rovers in 3D on computers. It is sometimes more efficient to design things on the computer, because it means you can make changes without having to draw it all over again! We had to research the features and properties to make sure we got all the dimensions and equipment correct.

Then we began making our models to scale, making sure we measured accurately and used tools safely.

Owls Rolling, Owls Jumping, Owls Balancing!

We thought you'd love to see some of our amazing gymnastic/ dance routines! We have been practising our rolls, balances and jumps; putting them all together into a routine to music. Can you spot any mirror image movement and holds?

SUPER SWIFTS VOTE for their Learning Leaders!

Today SUPER Swifts were each given the chance to vote for their new learning leaders!  The list of candidates were great and it was a tough decision to make.  Every child managed to make one though and selected two children that they would like to represent their class.  Well done to all of the candidates, your speeches were FAB!

Take a sneak peak of the process below...
