City Mission visit Kestrels
Year 6 have had a great morning with Charis from City Mission. She came in and ran lots of activities with us based around transition and the move to Secondary School. We had fun playing games; writing letters to the future Year Rs; thinking about our hopes and dreams; making thank you flags for members of staff who have helped us on our journey; taking part in quizzes and putting positive comment sticky notes on each other other!

Emotions
In Kingfishers we have been discussing our emotions. We read 'The Great Big Book of Feelings' and considered how different situations make us feel. The children realised that they may not feel the same as others about something, and that is alright.
We then looked at our 'feelings' stones, and discussed what each one represented and when we have felt that way. The children could think of examples and explain why they felt a certain way. We also thought about how we can help ourselves to come out of some emotional states. For example, if we feel angry, sometime stamping our feet or running outside can help us calm down.
