SPARKLE GLITTER PANTS & REGGIE RED BOTTOM strike again!

The past couple of weeks, the Swift's and Robin's elves have been causing lots of mayhem around Bitterne Manor Primary School. It's certainly caused lots of talk and excitement!

Earlier, Swifts and Robins discovered that both elves had been captured and imprisoned by the evil site manager...Mr Puckett. He told the Swifts and Robins that he wasn't happy with the state of their classrooms. Today, both classes have been eager to please and rescue their poor elves. Luckily, both elves made it back down to the ground unharmed.

Take a look at the footage that was captured last night...

Stay tuned to see what happens next...

Kingfishers are feeling festive!

Kingfishers have been getting into the festive spirit.  Not only have they been doing an amazing job of acting for their Nativity and learning words and dances to some of the songs for the Christmas Play, they have also been taking part in a variety of other activities.

The children have been using their creative skills to 'decorate' Christmas trees.  Some of these were drawn, others were made from bamboo and we needed to use our fine motor skills to attach ribbons.

Kingfishers have also been super elves working hard to design, make and wrap toys in their elf workshop.

The children have been working hard to make paper chain decorations for the classroom too.

During maths Kingfishers have been mending the elves' tops by adding the correct number of buttons.

What super busy Kingfishers you are!

Kids Eat Free at Asda

Please see below - other supermarkets are available, of course.

https://corporate.asda.com/newsroom/2020/11/30/kids-can-eat-free-in-asda-cafes-throughout-december

Asda has stepped up its support for families across the UK by offering children the chance to eat for free in its cafes throughout December.

All 216 of the supermarket’s cafes are taking part and will provide children under the age of 16 with a meal completely free of any charge when accompanied by an adult. There are no minimum spend requirements or restrictions on the number of children in a family or group that can take advantage of this offer.

Asda expects to serve around 215,000 free meals to children from its cafes during December and is offering hot and cold menu choices such as fish fingers, chicken nuggets or sandwiches – all served with a drink and a piece of fruit.

Asda cafes located in areas with Tier 3 Covid restrictions will still provide this offer to local children via a takeaway service. The offer will run from December 1st to 31st December except Christmas Day when stores are closed.

The free meals for children is part of Asda’s Christmas kindness campaign, which aims to support local communities during difficult and unprecedented times.

Rocking around the Christmas Tree...

This year Mr Adams asked the KS1 children to decorate the school Christmas Tree. We love a bit of sparkle down our end of the school so we jumped at the chance to do this! Both classes thoroughly enjoyed this and got into the Christmas spirit. I must say, both Robins and Swifts did an excellent job decorating the tree and made it feel a lot more festive in our school. Well done!

Take a look at some of the SUPER Swift's decorating skills...

We just need a shining 🌟 and our tree will be complete!

Christmas has arrived in Ducklings class!

In Ducklings we have had such good fun working as a team to put up and decorate our Christmas tree whilst listening to and dancing to our favourite Christmas songs!

We have started to create our own post box ready for our Christmas cards! We have also been busy working in Santa's Workshop where we have been writing to Santa and wrapping presents! We found some ice cubes in our water tray that had our Christmas objects trapped inside them! We worked together to melt the ice cubes using warm water.

We have been reading the book The Stickman and we all created our own!

Some of our other activities this week have included exploring number water turtles where we could record ourselves saying the numbers and play them back again. We also enjoyed exploring in the rain in our welly boots and all weather suits!
