A land far, far away!
A big well done to Year 1 for their fantastic art and writing during our journey to a land far, far away! On Monday, we prepared for our journey by looking at maps, making plans and writing luggage labels and packing lists. On Tuesday, the children came into school as many exciting characters. We made our own passports and had to go through passport control! We then travelled and saw many magical characters, including a great big dinosaur! We wrote in our travel diaries and drew pictures as we went along. Well done Year 1!
Year 5 and 6 Netball Morning
Today, some children from year 5 and 6 went to Bitterne Park School to get involved with a netball development morning. We met lots of netball players from different primary schools in the area and had lots of fun learning new skills together! We even managed to squeeze in a couple of games at the end of the morning to show off everything we had learnt!
Pirates Ahoy!
Year R loved the pirate theme days. They dressed up, made treasure maps, built pirate ships from construction materials, and had a treasure hunt around the playground. It was lots of fun!
Fair Trade
As part of their Africa topic, Year 6 have been finding out about Fair Trade and put together a short film about it - here's an example!
