Horticultural Show 2015

A few more pictures to share from our Horticultural Show on Tuesday. This is the first time we've held a topic celebration like this and we hope that both the parents and children found it an interesting way of sharing their work from the last term. Well done to Year 1 and Year for working so hard on their contributions to the event!

Year 3 and 5 get creative!

This afternoon, year 3 and 5 started creating our mini 'rainforests on a platter'. We split into groups of 4 (2 year 3 and 2 year 5) and collected natural resources from our environment. We then designed and planned out our ideas. We will finish them on Friday!

Hobby Horse of the Year Show

Some pictures of a few of the horses and riders at our 'Hobby Horse of the Year Show' yesterday! We had several clear rounds with no faults...

Judging Our Competition Entries...

We had some brilliant entries to our various competitions today as part of our horticultural show. Here are some of the various contributions from the children. Judging was very hard - particularly the cakes! We will be awarding some nice prizes tomorrow to the winners.

Marvelous Marwell!

Year 2 had a fantastic time at Marwell Zoo today where we found out all about African animals.  We hunted them around the zoo and found crocodiles,  rhinos, ostriches,  zebras (some real and some zany!) and many more.  Some children opened the discovery boxes to learn more about giraffes and cheetahs.   We also took part in a workshop where we got to see a variety of real African animal skins and got up close and personal with a Royal Python!! Thanks again to all the adult helpers who made the trip possible and well done Year 2 for your super behaviour once again.
