The school will be closed on Friday 3rd December.
This is due to the overnight forecast which predicts temperatures as low as -8 degrees, making early morning travel on the roads and pavements dangerous for both staff and children.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
The forecast for the weekend appears to be better so we hope to see you all back at school on Monday!

Main roads were clear, but side roads pretty slippery. Still passable even in my 2-wheel drive car with normal all year tyres.
ReplyDeleteRemember: Pull away in 2nd gear, not allowing the wheels to spin. Leave loads of room for braking, use low gears to limit speed on downhill slopes, and take a spade to dig ice from under your drive wheels if you get stuck somewhere - once you are rolling it's usually fine.
