A very Imaginative story.

A piece of imaginative writing from one of our Owls.  Well Done! :)

Purple mash project- create a story

The tomb of ancient Greece

This story is set a long time ago, before mobile phones, before you and me, and before we even knew the world existed. This story was set before dinosaurs were real, before the Simpsons predicted the whole of 2020. There is one thing I want you to know before I tell you this story, and that is that this whole thing is made up. So, if one thing doesn’t quite add up, like Ancient Greece existing before the world started, remember this is just a story!

Like no one predicted 2020, no one predicted that this was going to happen, and no one, except me, and everyone else reading this story, actually knows that it happened.

A long time ago, a girl named Mavis went on a class trip. (I know class trips didn’t exist before the world, but just use your imagination, and maybe read the first paragraph again.) Anyway, Mavis’s topic was Egyptians, and she went to an Egyptian trip.

When she got to the trip, she did the thing that everyone also did, eat. Everyone got out their lunch, and started eating.

However, Mavis was clever and quickly realised she wasn’t supposed to be at the Egyptian museum, because before the world existed, no one would have known anything about the Egyptians, because they weren’t real yet. And, if you were clever like Mavis, you would have realised that food was not invented before the world, and so all of the children would just be eating a plate of air.

But I bet you didn’t realise that, because all through the story, I have been telling you to use your imagination.

And so, today we have learnt a very valuable lesson, to use your imagination when you can. Because one day, you will end up in the exact same place as the Egyptians, but hopefully not wrapped in toilet paper.
