Last week, the Rocking Robins class enjoyed a trip out to the Tudor House in Southampton. It linked in well with their topic which is all about childhood and the past.
First, they began their trip with a tour of the Tudor House and Gardens where a tour guide told them lots of interesting facts. They looked around different parts of the House and had fun exploring.
Next, the Rocking Robins eagerly took part in a 'Toys' workshop where they looked at toys from the past. They held them, played with them and closely looked at the way that they had been made. They could pick their favourite one from the different boxes available and draw it on their sheet provided. It was a lovely blast from the past seeing some of the toys for the grown ups for sure!
Once the workshop ended, it was time for lunch (something that the whole class were very excited about) After this, the class split off into their groups and ventured off to see the house in detail. The interactive show was a big hit for some of them!
