Yesterday marked our annual celebration of World Book Day! As always, children (and staff) celebrated this day in style. We had lots of superheroes, fairytale characters, Harry Potters, children dressed as Matilda, Willy Wonkers and lots of other creative characters!
We started the day with a whole school assembly where Mr Adams, a.k.a Sherlock Homes talked through costumes that children had come dressed as. Teachers planned in lots of fun activities linked to reading which gave children a chance to show their love of reading. They took part in a 'pair and share' at the end of the day too. Each class were teamed up with another class so they could share their favourite book brought in from home. It was really lovely!
