Shelfies for World Book Day!

We have asked the staff to send us pictures of their book shelves for World Book Day. Here are a few of them. We thought it would be a good idea to see if the children could spot which teacher was which shelf...? It's really hard! What do you think?

World Book Day is Coming!

We are celebrating World Book Day this week. We'll be enjoying sharing our favourite books and 'Shelfies'! Encourage the children to think about their favourite story - can they create and  bring in a 'story bag' about it?

As part of our celebration for World Book Day we would to invite your child to bring in a small ‘container’, with items relating to their favourite story. The items can be toys, puppets, or anything which can be used to re-tell the story. The container can be a bag, shoebox or box but should have your child’s name displayed on the outside. The container should also include a copy of the book either from home or school.

Governor Day in School

During our recent Book Week, we were delighted to welcome many of our governors into school to see what we have been up to. The governors were able to talk to the children to find out about the impact of our "Power of Reading" Project in school. Several of them were brave enough to join us in our fancy dress book character costumes! Thanks to them all for giving up their time.
