Year 5 and 6 Athletes took part in Southampton indoor athletics on Friday and proved that Bitterne Manor children are our future stars. With lots of 1st, 2nd and 3rd places on various races and activities, their combined scores secured 1st place above some tough competitors. All the children went home with medals, lots of smiles and a winners cup for our trophy cabinet. Well done again!

Chinese New Year in Year R
Last Thursday, as part of our 'Around the World with Barneby Bear' topic, Year R celebrated Chinese New Year.
After writing a list of ingredients, we made Chinese noodles. When we had our party we ate these. Some fo us enjoyed the noodles so much that we had thirds!!!
We enjoyed making up actions and learning the words to the song 'Chinese New Year Is Here'.
The class also watched dragon and lion dance video clips. We then made up our own dragon dances.
