Nearly New Sale!

On Friday 27th February our PTA will be holding a 'Nearly New' sale after school. Please have a sort out over half term and bring all your 'nearly new' clothes in to school by Wednesday 25th February. Thank you for your continued support!

Sharing the Challenge

As you know, we are promoting our learning values this term and focussing on ‘challenge’. With our Learning Leaders, we have been thinking about ways of sharing these values with friends and family at home. We would therefore like to ask you to share a challenge with us. Something that you, or a member of your family or friend, might have experienced or achieved. This could be in the past, something that you are doing right now or are planning in the future. If you feel able to, we would very much like you to share these with us in school. Please describe your challenge on some paper (there is a letter going home today!) and give it to your child to return to school. We very much look forward to hearing about your challenges and sharing these with the children in school. Our Learning Leaders feel it is important that we are all good role models for them.

We would appreciate it if you could return the challenge to us by the end of February. Feel free to add any additional pictures. Please don’t share anything with us that you are not happy being discussed with the children.

Kind regards

The Learning Leaders

On Friday, the children are allowed to come to school in non-school uniform. In return the PTA are asking for a plate of cakes to sell after school to raise funds for the school. Fishbourne Roman Palace

Year 4 had a great time at Fishbourne today looking at how our (wealthy) Roman/Celtic ancestors lived.

We looked around the impressive mosaics and hypocaust heating before taking part in a Roman school lesson.

The mosaic floors

Grrr

We then got to see how the poor slaves of the palace were treated in our afternoon workshop!

Thanks to all the adults who helped out.

Do You Want To Build A Snowman...?

A little snow and a little excitement today as a consequence. Luckily, not enough snow to make us close and not quite enough to make a snowman either at break time. Please keep an eye on the weather forecasts and our website in case the weather does get worse. Take care on your journeys to and from school and make sure that children are wearing plenty of warm clothes.
