Coffee & Carols

Our children enjoyed sharing their singing and musical talents this morning with a concert to members of the local elderly community, grandparents and other guests. Possibly a few cakes may have been shared too...?

It's going.... to be replaced!

Over the next few days, we're having the 'woodchip' play area replaced with brand new equipment sponsored by the Lottery Fund and our own PTA! Hopefully, the new work will be completed by the end of the week - watch this space!

Year 6 Science

As part of their topic on 'Light', Year 6 have been learning about reflection and refraction. They have been experimenting with these and finding out what happens to a light beam when it passes through a glass prism. They then used their understanding of refraction explain how rainbows are formed.

Year 3 Music Concert

It was fantastic to listen to the progress Year 3 have made with their music learning. The children really listened well to one another and concentrated hard on their piece. Well done Nightingales - truly learning to be the best they can!!

Cross Country Crew!

Cross country crew! Around 20 children this term have been competing on a Friday evening at the outdoor sports centre.  The School’s Cross Country League often highlights the best local athletic talent and gives our children the opportunity to actively compete against a large amount of city children.  Each session has included approximately 180 boys and a further 140 girls all completing a tough mile long course up and down the hills of the centre.  Currently our girls’ team lies in 8th place from 23 and the boys 20 from 33.  All the children have improved their placings in every race they have ran so far, special mention goes to Ellen who has finished in the top ten runners every week.
