Kestrels visit to Paultons Park

Kestrels had a fantastic day at Paultons Park on Friday.  Thankfully the weather stayed dry, the queues weren't too long and the children's behaviour was exemplary. Well done Year 6!

IT'S PARTY TIME!

Owls class celebrated their profit from the Virgin "Grow your money" project yesterday with a Slumber Party!  Some of the children spent their lunchtimes last week budgeting how to spend their earnings on the party; by finding the best value pizzas, puddings and games.  They decided on a Pizza Hut delivery of 3 large yummy pizzas followed by pancakes covered in squirty cream, sprinkles and other delicious combinations!  They bought a CD so that they could listen to some Summer tunes and bought several games like Monopoly and Connect 4 - all will be going to Year 6 with them as wet play games.  They even had enough money left over to buy some popcorn and sweets for the last day of term and make a small donation to charity.  It really was a great celebration of all the hard work that the children (and adults!) put in to the project.  Well done Owls and a huge thank you to all those who helped - you know who you are!

Swifts visit MARWELL ZOO!

On Friday, super Swifts had the chance to visit the zoo after learning about all the wonderful animals throughout their topic this half term! It truly was a fabulous end to this year, what better way to end a super year!

We did a workshop, all about animals! We explored different animal skins and then met Colin the Cockroach and Ibos the Snake!!

We even got to stroke them! It was amazing! We were very BRAVE!

And let there be peace...

Top table

Yay! Today was finally the day for robins to eat on the top table. We were served by Mr Adams and Mrs Hayward.

A giant visit

Yesterday year 1 had a special visit from Bob the giant from 'trust me jacks beanstalk stinks.' He came in so we could interview him on his feelings about the troublesome children who keep taking his valueable possessions. Believe it or not he is 301 years old, he said boys were chewy and girls are crunchy. His favourite way to eat is roasted with ketchup "yuk" and he told us that adults are too hard to cook because they don't fit in his oven. He told us what he thought of children and how he found it difficult to keep up becuase of his size (25ft tall, that is more than 4 mrs Carters).

We are now going to write newspapers including some of his quotes to warn the other giants of the dangers of young children.
