Bitterne Manor's WONDERFUL WORLD BOOK DAY!

Last week Bitterne Manor finally celebrated their LOVE of reading and took part in world book day! It was absolutely amazing seeing everyone dressed down in their favourite pjs, including members of staff too! All in all, children had fun taking part in reading activities planned in class, the story treasure hunt displayed in the learning lab, listening to a teacher read at lunchtime and sharing their favourite book with another class peer! Prizes for the 'eXtreme reading' competition and the story treasure hunt will be handed out this week during Wednesday's assembly. All the pictures handed in were incredible and it's been a very tough job picking the most unusual! Well done to those who entered, you ALL did brilliantly!

Music Magnificene

Nightingales took part this afternoon in their very own music concert. In their groups, the children  have been learning how to play the ukulele or the clarinet since September. They did amazing this afternoon showing off their talents and managed to keep in time and create the right note! Thank you to all the adults who were able to come, I hope you enjoyed it.

Instruction learning.

Today in english we have begun learning all about instructions. To help us to know what makes a good set of instructions we talked Mrs Carter through how to make a jam sandwich. We went wrong a little but got there in the end.

EASTER CHOCOLATE RAFFLE!
