Defibrillator Training...
Last Friday afternoon, staff were trained in the use of the AED/Defibrillator in school which, apart from being both essential and worthwhile, was also really interesting. Obviously, we hope that we never have to use them but we're now comforted in the knowledge that we know what to do if the time comes.

Lead Learners Demonstrate Pride!
One of our Lead Learners came up with the fantastic idea of tidying up the area outside of the school so it is more welcoming. They were all keen to help out and did a fantastic job of weeding yesterday afternoon. We only had a short amount of time, as it was rather warm but I'm sure you'll agree that it already looks much tidier. Well done Lead Learners - what great role models you are!

Welcome back Kingfishers!
We are having a great first week back! We have been very busy exploring new areas in our classroom and finding out all about our new topic - Step into Spring and Bugs! We very much enjoyed being outside to look for signs of spring!
We have also been learning about money this week, which we look forward to using in our outside Garden Centre role-play this term!
Please have a look at our pictures!

Year 4 news...
When an evil villain tried to destroy the school, the Year 5 superheroes were on hand to save the day. Rooks spent the morning investigating the crime scene left behind. They also interviewed the superheroes to get all the facts before creating their very own Newsround videos. The children thoroughly enjoyed investigating the incident and acting as Newsround presenters.
Farmers day
Today as a hook to our topic we have been farmers. We dressed the part, did planting of seeds and plants, explored the plants around us and played a fange of farmyard games. I can't wait to continue learning about plants and watch our bean seeds grow.
