More returning Kingfishers

More smiling Kingfishers joined us at school today. I have loved seeing them again. They came in brilliantly and have adapted to the new routines in place.

Here are some of the things they have been up to this morning.

A robot made from sticklebricks

Adding leaves to our bug hotel to feed any visiting bugs.

The children completed their blue Rainbow challenge, drawing pictures and labelling what they have been up to at home.

Some children had a go at the Red Rainbow Maths challenge from the class pages on the website, which looks at number bonds to 10.

Malala Yousafzai work.

Here we have some amazing work based on Malala Yousafzai, great effort and a great read.

Butterfly Facts & Poetry

One of our topics this week has been learning about butterflies.  One task was to research and then create a factfile about them.  This superstar Rook has done an amazing job!

Acrostic poems can be tricky but this Rook has done a great job using the knowledge that they learnt from the factfile.

Truly SPECTACULAR work!

This SENSATIONAL Skylark has been very busy with her home learning! These wonderful pictures show work from across the curriculum! Everything from SUPER Science to AMAZING Art!

It makes me super proud to see such a lovely enthusiasm for learning and it always brings a smile to my face to see the wonderful pictures you all email me!

Keep smiling! ☺

Malala faces questioning.

Here we have a newspaper report on Malala Yousafzai from one of our Owls.

Strawberries anyone?

This super Swift has been a busy bee picking strawberries at Picwell Farm as well as doing lots of home learning tasks. It's so lovely to see you enjoying this weather!

They look delicious!

Keep up the awesome attitude :)

Some fabulous painting skills in Robins

In Robins today we have been learning about primary colours and how we can mix these to make other colours. We explored the different colours we could make using red, blue and yellow. Then, we experimented with making different shades of these colours by adding black and white.

After this, we looked at some famous paintings of plants and used our colour skills to make our own. Here are the results!

Amelia's wonderful painting of a flower. I love all the detail she has added.

Nea's excellent painting of a tree. I love how she has mixed so well to show the different shades of green.

Ubong's tree picture. I love how he mixed blue and white to make a pale sky.

Well done Robins, you are true artists.
