Christmas Complete Charity Appeal
We have some families who have expressed a desire to help others, who may be struggling during these challenging times. Therefore, we have been in contact with Scratch - a local charity who are coordinating Christmas gifts for children in Southampton. Further information on the charity and how to donate to this excellent cause can be found by clicking on the attached link. As a school, we are also able to refer families so please do talk to us if this is something your family could benefit from:

Kindness matters...
In the SUPER Swift class today we looked at what it means to be thankful. This ties in wonderfully with our RE unit and the importance of being grateful. As a way of applying our knowledge of this topic we created thank you cards to people that meant the most to us. The messages were well thought out and decorated beautifully.
Watching the Swifts make cards for one another though was the best feeling. It really melted my heart!
Have a sneak below at some of the cards created for others...

Introducing the new SUPER Swift Learning Leaders...
A HUGE well done to all of the candidates that put themselves forward for the new 'Learning Leader' role in the Swift class. I was blown away by the speeches and the level of effort put in presenting them. You should all be very proud of yourselves because I am! I wish you all could have been selected but unfortunately only two were. So, without further ado the new 'Learning Leaders' who will be representing the SUPER Swift class of 2020-2021 are... drumroll please...
These two SUPERSTARS! ðŸŒ
Well done girls! I know that you'll do our class proud :)
Thank you!
We have received a letter from the Southampton Basics Bank thanking the school community for the generous Harvest donation. This has helped many families in the city. A copy of the letter can be viewed using the following link:

Sparks are flying in Kingfishers
In Kingfisher class we have been talking about bonfire night and why it is celebrated. As most of us will not see watching fireworks this year, we decided to have our own celebration.
The class watched some firework displays from Youtube. We talked about the colours and shapes we could see before creating our own pictures using chalk, sequins and glitter glue. The children also used their fine motor skills to cut out shapes to make their own rockets!
Amazing work Kingfishers.

Tutors - Guidance for Parents
As part of the weekly safeguarding advice that comes to schools, they have highlighted the increasing use of private tutors and offered some guidance around selecting a tutor, particularly as anyone can claim to be one. The following link will take you to a poster to help parents and carers know what they can do, ask and check in order to keep their children safe.
