Kingfishers are celebrating!

Our topic in Kingfishers is 'Time to Celebrate'.  This week we are thinking about how we celebrate birthdays.  One of the ways we sometimes celebrate a birthday is to have a party.

We have been writing our own invitations for a party with our toys.  We have also been using our fine motor skills to wrap presents.

Mrs. White's toy 'Chick' had written all his invitations and was all ready to post them, when he dropped all the envelopes so they were all out of number order.  The Kingfishers have been fantastic at writing out numbers 1-20 in order to help chick know how to order his invitations.  Thank you so much for your help Kingfishers.

Great work from you all.  You are making us so proud!

Kestrels go online!

Just look at some of the fantastic slide presentations Kestrel class have created as an introduction to our new topic 'Ancient Greece'.  These are just a few of the slides we received today; there were so many brilliant pages it was impossible to share them all.
What a wonderful start to your remote learning on Google Classroom Kestrels!  We are so impressed by how you have engaged with your learning today and got stuck in to this very new way of  doing things.

Fabulous Home Learning from Kestrels

Well done Kestrel Class, lots of fabulous home learning obviously took place last week.  Thank you to those of you who have shared your amazing efforts.  We love seeing what you have been up to!

SENSATIONAL Skylarks!

 Happy Monday!

Skylarks were all working incredibly hard last week with their home learning and the pictures they sent me made me so proud! :)

I can't wait to see what they get up to this week! Their resilience and hard working attitude blows me away!

Keep it up Skylarks! :)

Happy, smiley Kingfishers!

We have been really impressed with how well our newest pupils at Bitterne Manor have begun adapting to home learning. This is all so new to Kingfisher class, having only completed their first term at school. They settled into school life during the Autumn Term and were ready to come back to school in January. However, they have been amazing this week adapting to the changes that we are all facing. So a really big well done to Kingfisher class!!

Here is a photo of one of our happy, smiley Kingfishers embracing her home learning. She completed all of her Rainbow challenges this week.

Well done to all of our Kingfishers!!

Magnificent Merlins

Our magnificent Merlins have been researching Anglo-Saxons which has involved completing a timeline as well as labelling the various kingdoms on a map.  Looks fantastic!

A Chef in the making!

Take a look at these photos of one of our clever Kingfishers who has made a meal at home as part of our Rainbow challenges this week.

She cooked and served a stir fry with mange tout, green pepper, mushroom, bean sprouts and egg noodles in a chow mein sauce. Delicious and healthy!
