First Day of School for a Wonderful New Kingfishers!!!

Today we welcomed our new Kingfisher class to school for the first time. They all came in looking smart in their new uniforms and fresh faced. We had smiley faces from the start of the day to the end. The teachers were really impressed with how amazing they all did for their first day. Mrs Hughes was very proud of all the children.

Today we learnt new rules and routines, and we also got to know our classmates. The children introduced themselves during a circle time. They were so brave and confident! They also did really good listening.

Take a look at some of the activities we had out today.

I look forward to seeing our wonderful Kingfishers tomorrow.

SUPER Swifts Class of 2021!

 Welcome back Swifties!

It's been a SUPER start in the Swift class today and absolutely lovely seeing all these happy faces. The Swift team are so impressed with how well the new Swifts have settled in. They are already soaring in their tasks.

Here's a look at some of the things that they did...

Writing a compliment for each other because we are so SWEET!

Writing a goal to achieve for this term so we know what we are aiming for!

Drawing a portrait of ourselves and showcasing our Art skills.

Compiling a list of all the attributes that the Swifts would like Miss Sangha to be this year (Who will try her absolute hardest)

Here's a peek of our classroom for the Swift Parents...

Well done Swifts, you've been such SUPERSTARS! ⭐

John Hansard Gallery Summer School

Please see the message below:

I am writing from John Hansard Gallery to share our upcoming Summer School with you!

Children aged between 7-11 who are eligible for Free School Meals in Southampton can sign up now to take part in our free summer school. The dates are Tuesday 24th to Friday 27th, 11am to 4pm.

Our Summer School is a week-long event full of various activities - children and young people can sign up to specific activities, or all of them. The activities will be art-based and an opportunity to learn lots of creative skills. Participants who take part in all sessions can achieve a Discover Arts Award.

We would love to invite you to share this event with the children, young people, and families that you work with, as we think it would be a great opportunity to involve them in our exciting programme of activities.

More information about our programme can be found here: https://jhg.art/events/summer-school-for-7-11-year-olds/

To book places on our summer school, parents and carers need to complete a registration form:

Welcome to Southampton Health & Wellbeing – Registration Form (succeedin.co.uk)

By registering, you will be signing up to a catch-all web page.

Once you have set up your account, you will be able to add family members.

You will then, as an adult on your account, be able to book activities for your children and young people.

If you have any problems, please do not hesitate to contact the support team on support@wellbeingsouthampton.org

Classroom Gardens

We thought we'd share a few pictures of the children's gardening efforts which, excuse the pun, are continuing to bear fruit (vegetables, actually!) and certainly enjoying the wet weather. These include sweetcorn , courgettes, runner beans and pumpkins!
