This afternoon, Kestrels class voted for their Learning Leaders. Well done to the children who put themselves forward for this important role and presented great speeches to explain why they should be elected.

Jays elect their learning leaders!
Today, Jays were able to exercise their freedom of democracy and reinforce British Values by listening to the speeches by the learning leader nominees before voting for their choice.
All will be revealed in good time....
MHST Parent / Carers Course: Helping Your Child With Fears & Worries
Learning Leaders
At Bitterne Manor today we have been practicing the British Value 'Democracy' by electing our soon to be announced Learning Leaders :)
Take a look at what Skylarks have been up to...
Time has flown by and Skylarks have worked their socks off in school this half term! I am so proud of their positive attitude towards learning, aiming to be the best they can be and working hard to never give up!❤
Below are some of the main events of what we have been up to...
In art, we have been looking at the colour wheel. The children used their artistic skills to produce a painting using either warm of cool colours!
We have also been voting for our Learning Leaders this year! I was so proud of their speaches and how confidently they all read them out in front of the class!
Finally, myself and all of Skylarks would like to say a big thank you to the PTA for the money they have raised which has allowed us to purchase new resources for our classroom! The children have really enjoyed using the new books and Maths resources!💗

Are you ‘Itchen’ to get back out and help tidy the river?
Saturday 30th October 2021 10am-2pm
Chessel Bay should be an excellent habitat for nature, but is also strewn with rubbish - much of which is plastic, brought by the tides - which is not only unsightly but dangerous for wildlife. There are big things happening with projects to help reduce ‘nurdle’ and other local pollution here - but litter-picks are still an important part of the overall efforts - especially as we have been unable to run large events for a couple of years now!
If you would like to come and help with our ‘Autumn-Clean’ at Chessel Bay, it would greatly improve the habitat for the wildlife which depends on the Nature Reserve. So, we hope to see you there.
Help to ‘turn the tide’ on plastic pollution at Chessel Bay!
Chessel Bay is situated at the end of Quayside Rd, S018 1DP, near Bitterne Manor School. Please wear old clothes. Under 16s need to be accompanied by a responsible adult.
N.B. Parking is very restricted and there are no toilets on site.
