Our Learning Leaders from Years 4, 5 and 6 had a fantastic day today training to be Anti-Bullying Ambassadors. They learnt what it means to be an Anti-Bullying Ambassador; some of the signs and symptoms to look out for of bullying behaviour and what to do if someone tells them they are being bullied. As a result of successfully completing the training, they earned their Anti-Bullying Ambassador's badge (which they will be awarded in assembly next week). They are now keen to go on and teach others about the role and work on collecting the other badges available through the Diana Award. These include badges for: Respect, Community Action, Online Safety and Wellbeing.
Our Learning Leaders were absolutely fantastic representatives of Bitterne Manor Primary School and I was incredibly proud of the contributions they made to the day!
Spring is starting to arrive at Bitterne Manor!

We have created our very own LIVING WILLOW DOME! It has taken time to build but it has been well worth the wait and the children have loved this new addition to our school grounds!
We would like to say a big thank you to our PTA who funded the dome! Without them, this would not have been possible and we can't wait to watch it grow this year!
We would also like to thank Dobbies Garden Centre in Cadnam, who kindly donated the bark flooring for our dome! We are very grateful for this donation and the support they have provided!
Super Swifts have been working so hard this half term and we thought you might like to see some of the amazing things we have been getting up to!
We kicked off our new topic 'Coastlines' to an exciting start with a visit from the Coastguards! They taught us all about how we can stay safe by the sea and still have fun!
We then had Cultural Day! This was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our different cultures and learn about the special traditions and celebrations within each one. Swifts were looking fantastic this day as they cam dressed in clothes which represented their tradition...
In Geography we have been learning about EROSION! We have been looking at how the sea causes our coastlines to erode and how we can protect them. We demonstrates how erosion happens with our very own investigation...
