World Book Day 2023
It was a lovely day celebrating all the joy that books have brought to us! We think the children (and staff) really enjoyed dressing up as their favourite characters and sharing their favourite stories. Thanks to you all for supporting the children with their costumes - their love of books shone brightly today. Please continue to encourage their love of reading in whatever form that takes!
Kingfishers go to the Library!
Kingfishers' Library Trip
To celebrate 'World Book Day' Kingfishers class went to Bitterne Library to share their love of books!
The librarian Catherine talked to Kingfishers all about how libraries work and how it's place where you can share your love of reading with others. Catherine read Kingfishers a story called 'Ten Delicious Teachers' it was all about monsters wanting to eat teachers. All the children said they thought there teachers were delicious too and wouldn't mind eating them for snack!
Kingfishers then explored the library looking at all the different books there were! They even found some books that had the characters they were dressed up as! They loved sharing the books with their friends!
