Year 1 'Toy dance and museum!'
Year 1 have worked very hard this half term and to celebrate the end of our Toy Story topic the children were very pleased to share their toy dance with their parents! The children had a lot of input into this dance and performed it very well! The children then became tour guides and showed everybody their hard work in our Year 1 toy museum! This included their toy cars that we have been making in Design and Technology as well as the fantastic homes that the children made for their cars! I would like to say a big thank you for the support with the children's first home school learning projects, they were all very impressive! Thank you for all of your hard work this half term :)

A Teddy Bears' Picnic with Year R and their families
To end our topic 'Bears' Year R had a teddy bear picnic. The children had written invitations, inviting their bears and family to come along too. We made sandwiches and shared food parents had brought in. The picnic finished with the children singing some 'bear' songs.

Everybody Writes Day

Pupils worked with children from all year groups, taking part in a variety of writing tasks, all of which led up to our 'Bitterne's Got Talent' show at the end of the day. The children completed application forms, designed and then created costumes, made banners for their performances, produced merchantise such as t-shirts and mugs and wrote songs, jokes, scripts and stage directions. It was fantastic to see everyone working together and enjoying writing!

Year 3s Archaeology Museum

When Year 3 opened their Archaeology Museum at the end of the first half term, we were delighted that so many visitors came to view our rock collection, study the information books we'd made and look at our travel brochures. The variety of brochures, powerpoint presentations and leaflets was amazing. Thank you for your support.
