This week you may have noticed our Year 6 pupils out and about on their bikes. This is because they are taking part in 'Pedal Power' training which provides them with the training and support they need to be confident and keep safe when riding their bikes. at the end of the training they are provided with a certificate and badge to show that they have achieved a level of cycling proficiency. Some parents may be of a certain age to remember doing 'cycling proficiency' themselves! We are aiming to continue to offer this training to all our Year 6 pupils in the future.

RESPECT Drumming assembly
School got going with a bang today! The children were introduced to a RESPECT Drumming session led by a music teacher from the Southampton Music Hub. Very interactive, great fun and it got us buzzing. An after school drumming club begins next week.

Year R visit the Aquarium!
Year R had great fun visiting the Aquarium! It was brilliant to see the creatures so close and to learn new facts about them. We enjoyed a rock pool encounter where we touched the creatures, including a spider crab and a star fish!
Well done Year R for a fantastic first year at school! You have all been stars.

Year 2 Drummers!
On Friday 19th July, Year 2 performed 5 African Songs to our parents, Year 1 and Year 3. These were Epo a tai tai, Kye Kye Kule, The Lion Sleeps Tonight, Senwa a dende and A Keelie.
They did a really fantastic job, and remembered to watch and listen to each other. Well done Year 2!
I have loved teaching you over the year, all the best in Year 3!

Amazingly talented...!
While we have known about her talents for a long time and the success they have achieved in competitions, it was great to have Bethanie and her team mate, Craig, come along and do a demonstration for the whole school. We were all amazed at how brilliant they are and hopefully have inspired a few more children to take up gymnastics. Their coach, Mr Mulholland, said that Southampton Gymnastics Club runs sessions for all ages and stages and it's great fun!
