The Year 2 Titanic museum opened to parents

Year 2 opened their Titanic museum this afternoon as a final outcome for this terms' learning.   They planned, set up and delivered each exhibit independently in their teams to show a range of aspects of their learning in this unit.  Parents were shown models of the ship, a display of home learning projects, powerpoint presentations on laptops, maps of the route the Titanic took, plus many more games and activities. Another super outcome from Year 2 made possible by all the help from our parents and teachers.  Thank you and well done!

Through to the final!

Well done Bitterne Manor football team for playing amazing football to reach the Jewell shield Champions league final.

The whole team played well and really tightened up their passing which paid off in the first few minutes when a thunderous shot by our center mid-fielder and a minute later when the wingers worked together to create a quick second goal.

The start of the second half saw another goal by our right winger 3-0. Some great football passed up from the left wing to mid field across the goal for an easy tap in from the right winger. 4-0! Fantastic team work from all the boys and our goalie's performance was outstanding, very quick hands!

Oakwood pulled back  with a penalty and in the closing stages got a header.
Thanks again to our fantastic coach Dave Puckett for motivating and challenging the boys during training and matches!

Final score Bitterne Manor 4, Oakwood 2

Greek Clay pots!

This afternoon the children enjoyed making pots from clay.

We have based our designs on the Greek pots we have been looking at and will be adding our Greek designs next week.
