Year R's new topic 'Jack Frost' is well under way!The children have discussed what they already know about Jack Frost and the seasons Autumn and Winter, and have thought about what else they would like to find out.

he class have made pictures that made them think of frost and thought of words they could use to describe their pictures.They have also produced repeating patterns using natural resources, such as fir cones, leaves, twigs and shells.
We have been making firework pictures. The class watched a clip of some
fireworks and thought about the colours and shapes they saw. They used their
ideas to help them make their fantastic pictures. The children thought about how to keep safe on firework night, understanding that it is fun to see fireworks but we need to be sensible. Pupils have also been learning about why we celebrate 5th November.
