Kestrels have been learning about Charles Darwin and his theory of evolution by natural selection. They have been finding out about Darwin's finches and how they have adapted, depending on the food sources available on the different islands of the Galapagos. To illustrate this, the children explored using different 'beaks' (cocktail sticks, tweezers and clothes pegs!) to pick up 'seeds' and 'insects'.
