Going for goals.

First of all happy new year to you all. Today we have been busy learning all about what a good learner looks like, how we learn aswell as understanding what a goal is. We then ended the day by writing a biography about ourselves and setting ourselves a goal that we would like to achieve, either personally or academically. Well done robins you have worked really well.

SUPER SWIFTS 2017!

Wow! What a first day it`s been today! My super Swifts have been fab and may I say so eager too...super attitude Swifties! They`ve nested in well in their new classroom and taken part in lots of amazing activities to get them settled.  We went through our school rules and even came up with actions, wrote a hope/dream for this half term and placed it in our class jar, shared what kind of teacher we wanted Miss Sangha to be (...Superwoman came up at one stage) wrote a `sweet` compliment for a friend and drew a portrait of ourselves. Finally, in true Swift tradition we had individual and class selfies to display proudly on our `Instagram` board! I hope they all had a lovely taste of what's to come! I can`t wait to meet all my Swift Parents, in the meantime here are some highlights...

Super Swift's first day!

Wow! What a super day it's been in the Swift class today!  We explored our cool classroom and got to know what life would be like in Year 2...it is FANTASTIC! Miss Sangha took Swift selfies  for our Instagram board, they look AWESOME! As it was our SEAL day we took part in lots of fun activities.  We created our class rules, made a learning wish/dream for this half term and wrote it down to go into a 'dream jar' (it was very exciting!) Then Miss Sangha asked us what kind of teacher we wanted so we wrote our ideas down and we created a compliment for someone in our class because we are all so sweet! Here are some highlights from today...

Year 1!

Year 1 spent their first week back after 1/2 term by finishing our topic 'Queens, Wolves and Trolls'. We began the week by exploring changes by looking at how we have changed and what will continue to change. We discussed ideas in groups and presented these to the class. Other activites during the week included carrying out a survey to see how much litter is in our school grounds as well as having fun with percussion instruments in music! Year 1 have also enjoyed our fairy tale castle role-play during this topic!

We look forward to our next topic 'Superheros!' Please come to school dressed as a Superhero on Tuesday 14th June. I look forward to seeing lots of Superheros in Year 1!
