A huge well done and thank you to the children who visited the care home this morning, to sing to the residents. The children were absolutely fantastic - they performed beautifully and were immaculately behaved. They were a real credit to the school and you as parents.

Jays were lucky to receive a visit from Joanna Tidey who taught us different techniques we can use when using watercolours which allowed them to paint fantastic pictures! This follows on from a previous lesson where Joanna shared with us how to sketch animals. The children were engaged throughout and really enjoyed applying their creative sides!
Skylarks were very fortunate today to have their second visit from local artist, Joanna Tidey, on Friday. This time, she taught them watercolour techniques. Every child in the class was given a brand new paint pallet, which they used to try out different strokes and effects. There were some really impressive results and the children were a real credit to Bitterne Manor, listening respectfully and trying their very best. They are learning so many new skills and we are very fortunate that Joanna will be returning to every class in Year 1 to Year 6 for a further two sessions in the spring term.
