Choir care home visit

A huge well done and thank you to the children who visited the care home this morning, to sing to the residents.  The children were absolutely fantastic - they performed beautifully and were immaculately behaved.  They were a real credit to the school and you as parents.

Outstanding owls’ art

Owls were able to practice their watercolour techniques today when artist Joanna popped in this afternoon. They learnt 4 different techniques that they will be able to use when Joanna next comes in to help them paint watercolour animals. Well done Owls!

This week, Owl’s have been working really hard to turn their narrative stories from other cultures into beautiful picture books. A lot of time and effort has gone in to making these books look amazing and all the children are looking forward to reading them to year 1 tomorrow morning!

Jays brushing up on their watercolour techniques

Jays were lucky to receive a visit from Joanna Tidey who taught us different techniques we can use when using watercolours which allowed them to paint fantastic pictures!  This follows on from a previous lesson where Joanna shared with us how to sketch animals.  The children were engaged throughout and really enjoyed applying their creative sides!
