Kingfisher's are acing their Rainbow Challenges

Wow!  This Kingfisher has been super busy.  We are very impressed! Well done! This is what her mummy said...

'… has enjoyed the rainbow challenges this week.

Orange – naming the animals.

Green – exercise - tuck jumping as high as possible was fun, but … and her sister really enjoyed the video in the mindfulness activities folder, watching the dance video shotgun many times in a row, copying the dance moves or making up their own.

Blue – Ice making fun. … and her sister spent a long time deciding which toys to freeze over night for this experiment. Mainly lego and peppa pig figures!  We also did an experiment with fruit in the ice lolly mould.  One with crushed blueberrys and one with whole ones.  They came out very different in both colour and taste.

Purple – tracing shadows. Slightly more tricky than expected, but … managed to trace around a mini lego unicorn!

Yellow – rhyming scavenger hunt.

Red – Maths. .. was keen to do some maths on Monday and used her bead collection to help herself count out the numbers to get the correct answers.'

I love how creative she's been with the ice challenge.  Well done for using some concrete resources from around your house to help you with your subtraction challenge.  This is super work.  Thank you for sharing it with us!

Kestrels keep the work coming!

Well done Kestrels!  We have been really impressed by the quantity and quality of the work we are receiving from you.  Here are a few snippets...

We love that this Kestrel has even done some editing in a different colour!

A thoughtful Kingfisher

One of our lovely Kingfishers has been very busy.

He wanted to do something for some of our NHS staff. He came up with the idea of making a wreath for his front door.  How gorgeous is this?

So creative and original. Well done, this has made us smile.

An Owl who loves Art!

The first picture is a thank you to the NHS, where the Owl has used other skills within it too.

The second picture shows the result of this Owl's texture treasure hunt (See Art lessons on class page).

Letter to the Rooks

I received this beautiful letter from one of our wonderful Rooks addressed to the rest of the class.  I must admit, it did bring a tear to my eyes.

I think we all agree that we can not wait to come back to school and see each other again :-)

More AMAZING work from Jays class!

The emails are continuing to roll in! What fantastic work being produced by Jays. I truly admire their positive attitude and their ability to motivate and love learning!

An eagle eyed robin

This Robin has been on a plants scavenger hunt in her garden. She used a key to help her identify leaves and flowers. Look how many she has found!

She has also written some sentences to explain what she has done and what she has found. Well done Sukhmani!

How many of these do you recognise?
