Dance Live 2022

We are extremely proud of the superb performance our pupils gave at Dance Live 2022 last night at Portsmouth Guildhall. They excelled themselves! All of the young people taking part put their heart and soul into a fantastic show after what has been another very challenging year. Seeing them all perform so well on stage was a real joy for those of us in the audience who had the pleasure of being so well entertained. Thanks and well done to all the children who took part and for all of you that supported the hard work that went into putting on such a great performance. A special thanks to Lia Chance for keeping dance alive at Bitterne Manor once again this year. Thank you!

Budding Geographers in Owls

This morning, Owls have been learning to use four figure grid references on Ordnance Survey maps! First, we had a go identifying some symbols - some of them were very tricky to guess! Then, we were given some symbols and we had to go on a scavenger hunt, searching for the symbols and recording the grid references.

Here are some pictures of us at work!

If you want to find out more, there are some lovely mapping resources on the OS website: https://www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/mapzone/

Enjoy!

Sporty Robins and Swifts!

Children from Robins and Swifts were selected to take part in a Multi-Ball Skills Festival.  It involved various games involving tennis balls, basketballs and dodgeballs (!) and working together as a team.  Everyone had a great time and it was lovely to get back to these sporting events.

Kestrels have a 'soup-er' day!

Kestrels had a great day today learning all about healthy wholefoods and the advantages and disadvantages of processed v homemade. They all enjoyed making their own wholemeal bread rolls and vegetable soup. They learned important skills including, peeling, chopping and kneading and collaboratively produced a meal that smelled delicious! 😋
