I hope you are all having a lovely day. In Robins yesterday, we were learning about observational drawing and the way we can use different pencils for different effects.
We had some HB, 2B, 3B and 5B pencils and experimented with these. We found that 5B pencils were really good for smudging and blending in to the picture and HB pencils were best for adding fine detail. We also learnt about using thick and thin lines, cross hatch sketching and small dots to make our drawings really detailed.
Then, we went outside to find some natural objects to draw with our newly acquired skills. I think you will agree these are absolutely fantastic! See if you can guess what they are.
